Check out the latest news from Jim and the 59 team

Misfortune and mishaps continued for the 59 team this week.  Friday night’s racing at Williams Grove Speedway was canceled due to rain, but Lincoln Speedway’s Saturday night action was looking good.  Jim had a fifth place starting position for the make-up feature event.  As the race began, Jim quickly made his way to third.  He was racing hard and was on his way to take over second place when he lost his rhythm, got out of the groove, and fell back to 10th place.  Before the end of the event, Jim regained 2 spots and finished in 8th place.

As the night continued, Jim was slotted 5th for the second feature event of the evening.   A spin at the start of the race restructured the starting line-up, giving Jim a 3rd place starting position.  However, on lap 5, the steering arm fell off of the 59 sprinter, causing Jim to stop on the track and bring the car in for the evening.  Jim and the 59 team will resume racing next week at Williams Grove Speedway on Thursday and Friday nights as they take on the World of Outlaws.  However, the 59 team will not make it to Lincoln Speedway for Saturday night’s race as Jim will be in Charlotte, North Carolina visiting his sponsors at Nline Racing Apparel and attending the NASCAR race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
