Check out the latest news from Jim and the 59 team

The progress Jim and the 59 team were so happy to make last week took a few steps back this weekend. Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, Jim timed in poorly against the World of Outlaws. His time put him in the 9th starting position in his heat race. Despite his many attempts, Jim couldn’t get the 59 sprinter to move forward. His heat race finish put him in the B-main. Once again, the car wasn’t cooperating and Jim pulled the 59 sprinter into the pits to regroup for the next night.

Saturday night the team traveled back to Williams Grove to compete against the World of Outlaws again, and things were looking better. Jim timed in 14th in time trials which put him on the pole of his heat race. Jim held the lead for a few laps before falling back to third. His heat race finish qualified Jim for the main event, but caused him to miss the dash and a top ten staring position. Instead, the 59 sprinter lined up 16th in the A-main. Jim held his ground for part of the race until the car started to fade and he couldn’t make anymore progress. Unfortunately, Jim fell back to finish 28th.

The team is keeping their heads up and continuing to work hard to get Jim and the 59 sprinter to the top. This weekend they will be in action Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.
