After last week’s success, Jim and the 59 team were a little disappointed with this week’s finishes. On Friday at Williams Grove Speedway, Jim missed the cut in the heat races and had to run the consolation event. After qualifying through the consolation, Jim started in the back of the A-main. Jim did his best to bring home a top 10 finish, but fell short finishing 17th.
On Saturday at Lincoln Speedway, Jim timed in 18th quick in time trials, putting him on the pole of his heat race. Jim led the majority of the heat before a late race restart moved him to second place. He started 14th in the main event and was fighting for a 10th place position before falling back to the 13th place where he finished the race. Jim and the 59 team will be back in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday for the Mitch Smith Memorial and will sit out Saturday to regroup for the next week.
